Donate your spare computing power and take part in the world's largest climate experiment.
Trying to predict climate change is hard. There are lots of factors involved – and even the worlds biggest super computer would struggle under the pressure. That is why University of California, climateprediction.net and the BBC have joined forces to organise the world's largest ever climate experiment, and they need your help.
Using a technique known as distributed computing, they 're hoping to harness the power of thousands of PCs around the world. If 10,000 people sign up, they will be faster than the world’s biggest computer. And they're hoping to be even better than that. So follow this link, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/hottopics/climatechange/ and donate something other than your spare pocket change.
